Your experience with Visual Studio 2005/2008, Microsoft Team System, Microsoft ASP.NET, C#, Microsoft SQL Server and serious publicly-facing sites will be put to the test as we open new doors in online media and digital distribution.

Essential Duties

• Design, update and maintain software for the company’s current and upcoming web sites using Visual Studio 2005/2008, C# and SQL Server.
• Work closely with the Web Producer to integrate software components with the user interface
• Create and perform thorough testing of software components using NUnit and other tools
• Write software in accordance with company coding standards and specifications
• Design and implement database schemata as needed
• Create documentation including engineering requirements documents, post-launch documentation for maintenance and support of the software, etc.
• Interact on a professional level with all levels of internal customers and producers
• Keep abreast of new and upcoming web technologies
• Perform on-call support tasks on a rotating schedule with the rest of the team
• Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• BSCS or other bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience in software development
• Experience designing, coding and releasing major parts of at least one load-balanced, publicly-facing .NET web site using NET 2.0/3.0/3.5 and written in C#
• Willingness to demonstrate design and coding skills through a small pre-hire programming task
• Success leading a small team at a technical level (if this is a lead role)
• Willingness to work on existing code, especially code you did not write
• Organization skills sufficient to prioritize and perform several projects at various stages of completion
• Success working under stringent deadlines
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to move with the flow of changing needs in the industry
