We are looking for a talented individual to be a part of the creative team working on a groundbreaking MMO title. Successful applicants will join a seasoned team based in China where they will work on original IP. This particular opening requires that the candidate be motivated, possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a cross-disciplinary group.
The Technical Artist will work closely with engineering, art, and design and will be responsible for understanding and maintaining art production pipelines, the game data structure, to help refine work flow throughout the life of the project. The primary task of this employee will be addressing areas of the game that needs both a technical touch and an artistic eye. The Technical Artist may be called onto write tools and shaders, while working with engineering and art on design and implementation.
Skills and Experience
2+ years professional game development experience
Experience with 3D Studio MAX or Maya
Experience with Unreal Editor 3 (UE3)
Strong background with Max Script or other scripting language
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving abilities.
Creating batch processing and pipeline designs.
Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands, and follow through on details.
Qualifications:
Shipped title on next-generation console (XBOX360, PS3)
Solid understanding of game creation processes & dependencies
