Aspyr Media is looking for a Mac Engineer for the Development Team. The qualified candidate will be responsible for programming and development of internal software titles and tools and will work with other software engineers to review code, develop, debug, and maintain game titles and tools according to agreed upon specifications and schedules. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: • Review code for new projects, providing Engineering Manager and Producer with proposed schedules, technical overview, and potential risks. • Develop games, as assigned, according to established processes and agreed upon timelines. • Develop tools and libraries, as needed and assigned that enhance Aspyr’s ability to produce high quality games. • Stay current with new technologies and programming practices. • Work with the QA team to identify game bugs and implement fixes to improve game quality. • Work with the Technical Support team to identify needed patches for catalogue titles and develop in a timely manner. • Provide input into development processes and practices. Contribute to development of processes as assigned and needed. • Participate in team meetings to discuss development practices and enhance team communications. Requirements: • Two to five years of experience programming commercial applications/games in C/C++. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree is recommended. • Ability to work with large existing code bases. • Expert debugging ability. • Understanding of multi-threaded programming • Familiarity with professional programming practices. • Willingness to learn new technologies. • Experience with graphics, sound, or networking is a plus. • Windows and Mac development experience is a plus. |
